All of our boxes are glued and stapled to insure that they will not fall apart like
some of the cheaper ones that you may have used in the past. We curently use
all of the boxes that we sell in our Aviary.
In our aviary we use metal & wooden boxes. We have a proven pair of greenwing macaws that we got from
a friend over 3 years ago. They had not laid in the 3 years that we have had them. On the advice from a
friend. So on 6/12/07 We took there metal box out of there cage & put in a 1/2" wooden box lined with
metal. Within 2 weeks she went to nest and is now sitting on 3 eggs. I asked my friend how she knew this
would make a difference. Her reply was have you ever seen or known of a bird in the wild nesting in a metal
tree or nest. So we are in the process of changeing all of our metal boxes to wooden boxes lined with metal.
Wooden boxes are more natural to what they are use to in the wild.

boxes. We also offer a breeder discount if multiple nest boxes are ordered. Because of the weight of 5/8" plywood we only line 1/2" plywood
boxes with metal. with a 1/2' metal lined box there is no need for the heavyer 5/8" plywood box. some breeders prefer the 5/8" plywood
boxes that are not lined because its more natural to what there use to in the wild.
